Most Russians (55 percent) believe that adult children must necessarily help their parents financially, because there is no hope for a good pension. More often about the need for financial support for parents told men (58 percent against 52 percent among women), young people under 24 years old (69 percent) and respondents with an income from 80 thousand rubles per month (64 percent). For the help of the older generation, the Russians will spend 8.5 thousand rubles per month.

about 22 percent decided to support parents financially on a permanent basis. Another 36 percent do it from time to time. And 18 percent said that they, on the contrary, give money parents. In addition, every tenth admitted that supports parents financially extremely rarely.
