The international group of scientists explained the cause of the high survival of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis tuberculosis in the unsuitable environmental conditions inside the human body. The results of scientific work published in the Bioorganic Chemistry magazine will help to better understand the role of enzymes in bacteria in the development of resistance against human immune system and drugs.
Researchers studied the crystal structure and Rubdoxin Functions in (RUBB) – metallotine (containing protein metal atoms), providing the correct functioning of the cytochrome P450, another important protein bacterium. According to the hypothesis of specialists, tuberculosis sticks have learned to switch Rubdoxin to mode, providing efficient use of iron in the conditions of iron deficiency, which is observed in the formation of granuloma (nodules) in the lungs.
As a result, it turned out that Rubdoxin B is associated with gem monooxygenases, important for the metabolism of oxisterines (play a signal role in ensuring immunity) and the burgroxulous drugs of the owner. In other words, M.TUBERCULOSIS has the ability to neutralize xenobiotics.
Previously, the study showed that one of the cytochromes supported by RUBB may act against SQ109, promising potential medication from tuberculosis with multiple drug resistance.
According to WHO, all over the world with a tuberculosis of 10 million people annually, and about 1.5 million die from him, which makes it the main infectious killer in the world. Particularly dangerous strains of tuberculosis sticks, which appeared in recent decades, have multiple drug resistance, mainly to antibiotics.
