Flights on problem of Boeing 737 Max again suspended

The flights on the problem of Boeing 737 MAX again suspended, such a decision was taken by two American airlines – Southwest Airlines and American Airlines. According to CNN, this time there was a problem with an electrician in airplanes.

Boeing himself notified 16 of its customers about possible problems with the electrical system in specific parties of the 737 MAX aircraft. It is about grounding the components of the power supply system. “We work closely with the Federal Directorate of US Civil Aviation (FAA) on this production issue,” said the company.

As TASS clarifies, Southwest Airlines temporarily eliminated 30 from its flight schedule from its 58 Boeing 737 Max, American Airlines suspended flights 17 of 24 at its disposal of such liners.

Boeing 737 Max aircraft banned for flights around the world after two consecutive plane crash, as a result of which 346 people died. The reason was one of the systems of the liner, which is responsible for adjusting the position of the aircraft in the air. During the investigation, it turned out that the manufacturer managed to avoid the necessary verification of the model by lobbying his interests, and also made silenced employees who knew about problems. Partially fleets were resumed only at the end of December 2020.

In January 2021, Boeing agreed to pay 2.5 billion dollars of compensation in the case of problem aircraft 737 MAX. The company will pay the US Ministry of Justice, a fine of $ 244 million, 1.77 billion will go on compensation to customers, and $ 500 million – in compensation to the victims of the aircraft crash.
