Russia’s Ministry of Labor plans to reduce the list of prohibited professions for women. The agency prepared a draft order, which allows women to work by aircraft and engineers, serving aircraft and helicopters, writes TASS.
Earlier with such an initiative, the Chairman of the Committee of the Council of the Federation Council on Social Policy Inna Hytainhenko. She believes that it is unfair to prohibit a woman to get a job on the obtained specialty.
Against the background of this, the State Duma deputy Oksana Pushkin offers to take a “cardinal solution” and abandon the list of prohibited professions for women. She considers him an anachronism infringement of rights when choosing a profession, writes RIA Novosti.
From January 1 of this year, the order of the Ministry of Labor on the approval of the abbreviated list of professions, on which the use of women’s labor is limited. Russians officially allowed hundreds of “male” professions.
The greatest interest in women cause professions in maritime and river shipping, road and railway transport. They also want to work in civil aviation and agriculture. The order removed the restrictions, including those professions and types of work as a member of the deck team of the vessel. In addition, women will be able to work by machinists of electric trains, high-speed and high-speed trains, performing supergrowth work at a height of more than 10 meters.
The official list of professions prohibited for women in Russia has been operating since 1974. The penultimate version of the list of 456 professions was approved in February 2000. UN repeatedly recognized a document infringerating the rights of women.
