Russian health workers can endorse the right to retire the old age. The relevant bill is submitted to the State Duma, RIA Novosti reports.
The initiator of the bill was the deputy from the LDPR Evgeny Markov. The initiative provides for the introduction of adjustments to the Law “On Insurance Pensions”.
In particular, it is proposed to consolidate the right to the early appointment of pensions in old age people, “carrying out therapeutic and other activities to protect the public health in medical organizations.”
Earlier it was reported that the State Duma made a draft law on indexing pensions to working retirees. As noted in an explanatory note, the cancellation of the indexation in 2016 “was extremely negatively affected by the financial situation of pensioners and led to a significant reduction in the purchasing power of citizens.” According to the authors of the initiative, the implementation of the draft law will cost the Pension Fund at 400 billion rubles.
