Sevastopol’s Capture introduced a bill to resume indexing pensions to working retirees from January 1, 2022. The document is published in the electronic database of the Lower Chamber.
As noted in the explanatory note, the cancellation of indexation in 2016 “was extremely negatively affected by the financial situation of pensioners and led to a significant decrease in the purchasing power of citizens.” According to the authors of the initiative, the implementation of the draft law will cost the Pension Fund at 400 billion rubles.
In January, the deputies of the Fair Russia faction, headed by its leader Sergey Mironov, introduced a similar draft law to the State Duma. Also for the renewal of indexing pensions, the deputies of the LDPR and Senator Vasily iconnikov were operating retirees. In March, the State Duma rejected all three draft law on indexation.
According to the press secretary of President Dmitry Peskov, no decisions on indexing pensions working retirees have not yet been taken. In March of this year, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov announced the preparation of proposals for indexing pensions to working retirees. Then he said that the proposals were sent to the Presidential Administration.
