President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced the unnecessaryness of the embassies of the republic in some countries, transfers BelTA.
Diplomatic service authorities should not turn into a “institutional structure”, in a number of countries “Prospects of Belarusian diplomatic presence are not viewed,” said the head of state.
“So why do we need to save your embassies, spend budget funds for their content? What is there a complete staff of diplomats responsible for the directions that are paused, to put it mildly?” – said Lukashenko.
He suggested working “on conditions of reciprocity”, and all of interest to discuss in the UN and in other international sites. “There is an opportunity to speak with the whole world and there is no need to keep political advisers in countries that have frozen contacts with us due to their prejudices or lead destructive activities against us,” Lukashenko added.
In Belarus, since August last year, mass protests continue with the demanding of Lukashenko’s resignation and holding new elections.
The President has repeatedly stated that the West is worth it. According to him, the attempts to “break out” Belarus are not stopped.
