The main competitor “Gazprom” in the domestic market, the company “NOVATEK”, increased the official from the State Duma, the head of the Nizhny Chamber of Parliament Tatyana Voronova, reports TASS with reference to the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
It is noted that Voronov will become the top manager “NOVATEKA”, but the specific position that it will occupy is not called.
The State Duma of Voronov headed from 2016, when Volodin became the speaker. Prior to that, she worked in the presidential administration, and in 2007-2011 was a deputy.
Place of the Voronova at the head of the State Duma apparatus will take her first deputy Igor Dietkin, whom Volodin described as “energetic, workaholic.”
NOVATEK competes with Gazprom both in the domestic and foreign market, supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the plant “Arctic LNG” project is mainly in China. In 2018, the company bypassed Gazprom on market capitalization (cumulative value of shares). At the moment, Gazprom is again the leader in this indicator among Russian gas companies.
