Degtyarev criticized idea of remove Khabarovsk with five thousandth bills

Temporarily Acting Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Mikhail Degtyarev criticized the idea of ​​the Central Bank of Russia to remove the image of Khabarovsk with bills with a par value of 5 thousand rubles. Opinion on this issue, politician shared in his Telegram-Channel on Tuesday, March 23.

“To remove Khabarovsk from bills of 5 thousand rubles will be a big mistake,” Degtyarev counted.

Earlier on Tuesday, the deputy head of the Central Bank Mikhail Alekseev told about the plans of the regulator to change the design of ruble banknotes. According to the authors of the initiative, the series of the now depicted on the banks of Russian cities will be replaced by others: so, instead of Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk will appear on the ten-liter bill, Pyatigorsk will change Arkhangelsk on five hundred cards, Yekaterinburg – Khabarovsk on a five thousandth. The remaining banks will continue for the same cities, but their appearance will still undergo changes.

It is assumed that new banknotes should appear in the turn in 2022. First of all, it will affect the storuba bill, which depicts Moscow.

In late January, Senator Sergey Kalashnikov proposed to portray Vladimir Putin on the five thousandth bill of Russia. Later, the politician specified that it does not plan to make such an initiative for discussion in the State Duma.
