Russia and China must mobilize like-minded people to protect the principles of the UN Charter. The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called such a common task of the two countries, his words lead RIA Novosti.
Lavrov reproached Western countries in trying “by all truth and inconsistencies to provide their dominance”, including by ignoring the UN Charter and replacing its own rules.
“Of course, we need to mobilize like-minded people in defending justice, in defending the principles of the UN Charter,” said the head of the Russian foreign policy department at negotiations with its Chinese colleague Van and.
Earlier, the head of European diplomacy Josep Borrel accused Russia in taking a “course to confrontation” with Brussels. He also answered the question of why the EU does not change the principles of working with Russia, if they do not bring results. In his opinion, Brussels remain old needs. For example, it is important for him to maintain relations with Moscow in the fields of energy and climate. At the same time, their implementation depends on the circumstances.
