Europe accused of interference in US elections

Deputy Foreign Ministry of Russia Alexander Grushko accused Europe in interference in American elections. His words lead RIA Novosti.

Grushko noted that the intervention in the US presidential elections in 2016 and 2020 had a place, but not from Russia, but on the part of “political figures in Europe, who did not notice the calls to the American people to make the right choice.”

Diplomat recalled that during the first election campaign of Donald Trump in the West, the policy was awarded rather abusive “characteristics and epithets”. “All this was done in the prime time on a multi-million-dollar audience. And when, having won, Donald Trump came to Brussels at the NATO summit, then (there) stood in the rank and watched him in her mouth,” said Grushko.

On March 16, the US intelligence accused Russia in supporting the re-election of Donald Trump and “discharge” Joe Bayiden in the presidential election of 2020. The document also announced the adoption of new anti-Russian sanctions.
