Prime Minister of Slovakia Igor Matovich expressed his readiness to leave his post due to the situation with the supply of Russian vaccine from Coronavirus “Satellite V” into the country. This is reported by TASS with reference to local media.
The leader of the center-seat party “Ordinary People and Independent Persons” (Fed), on the initiative of which the Russian drug was purchased, said it was ready to leave the position of head of the Cinema, but at the same time he intends to continue working as part of the government as one of his members. At the same time, Mattovich put forward a number of requirements for the parties that are part of the government coalition that achieve his resignation. He demanded that the Minister of Economy of Slovakia Richard Silik, who is the chairman of the liberal party “Freedom and Solidarity” (SIS), as well as the strengthening of the positions fed in the Cabinet.
Earlier it was reported that Silik wanted to send the premiere of resignation due to the supply of Satellite V in the country. So, two of the four batches of the Government Coalition of Slovakia demanded the resignation of Matovich. In addition to SIS, it is about representatives of the liberal-conservative party “for people.” Parties believe that Matowic did not cope with the fight against the Pandemic COVID-19 in the country and shares society.
On March 12, the head of the Ministry of Health of Slovakia Marek Rushi was removed due to the position of the “satellite V”. Mattovich explained that the government of the country was close to the collapse.
Delivery of the Russian vaccine led to serious political disagreements inside Slovakia.
