President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the team of the Milk World enterprise in the Grodno region called on Belarusians to gain patience and promised that after its departure, there will be other presidents, writes RIA Novosti.
According to him, at present, citizens of Belarus live “as they can”, but “not worse than others”, and therefore they need to “hold on to their land” and not to learn before other countries. “You will have other presidents. I guarantee you. Then you, comparing everything, will understand. And now you just get patience,” said Lukashenko.
he added that Belarus will forever remain a single state, and the standard of living of people will stop falling if they will “hold their heads on the shoulders.” “The world of Oshhal, and people in this world have lost the orientation. And at this moment do not rush in different directions,” the head of state concluded.
In Belarus, protests continue in Belarus after the presidential election on August 9, 2020, according to the official results of which Lukashenko received 80 percent of the votes. Protesters require the resignation of the country’s leadership, new and honest presidential elections, punishment of victims in violence over demonstrators.
Shares of dissent with the results are rigidly suppressed by law enforcement agencies. Tens of thousands of people were detained, many told about torture and beating in insulators. Four people died in clashes with siloviki.
Lukashenko repeatedly compared his displeased politics with the fascists and called traitors. In the political and economic crisis of the country, he accused “Bourgeisters”, the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO).
