Collectors have found out main causes of debt on loans

The main reason for debt on loans among Russians is financial difficulties. Over the past year, the share of non-payers for this reason has grown from 50 to 75 percent. This is evidenced by the data of the National Association of Professional Collection Agencies (NAPKA), which is published by RIA Novosti.

It turned out that 60 percent of Russians have loans, while every 12th borrower has overdue payments. It is clarified that 60 percent of non-payers complain about a decrease in income, and 40 percent – about the loss of their job.

Some of the debtors, it follows from the data of NAPKA, do not plan to pay off the debt. So, six percent of defaulters are ready to return the loan only by a court decision, hoping that he will take their side, and every 20th debtor intends to declare himself bankrupt and is not going to pay the loan.

In addition, some citizens simply do not want to repay debt, and someone, when meeting with collectors, begins to improvise, trying to come up with an unusual reason for non-payment. “Thus, in 2020, debtors have become more responsible, financially literate, however, due to the difficult situation, many of them are unable to continue servicing the loan at the moment,” the association concluded.

Earlier, the State Duma submitted a draft law on the minimum guaranteed income for people with debts, which cannot be foreclosed.
