Australian Health Minister Greg Hunt was admitted to hospital with an unknown infection two days after being vaccinated against the coronavirus with AstraZeneca. This was reported by The Sydney Morning Herald.
Representatives of the minister said that he was hospitalized, receiving antibiotic treatment and is under a dropper. According to them, doctors expect a complete recovery from the 55-year-old politician and do not believe that his condition is related to the vaccine he received.
A day earlier, it was reported that in Austria, vaccination of one of the batches of the drug company AstraZeneca was suspended after the death of a nurse who received an injection with this drug. The exact cause of the woman’s death is to be determined by specialists. The vaccine of this company is considered unsafe for older patients, therefore in some countries it is not given to people over 65 years old.
In January, there was a reported case of negative symptoms immediately after vaccination: a physician who received the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine experienced symptoms such as skin rashes, convulsions, muscle weakness and shortness of breath – and was hospitalized.
