CTC leaders and cosmonauts honored memory of Yuri Gagarin

Head of the Yu.A. Gagarin Pavel Vlasov headed a delegation that, on the birthday of the first cosmonaut of the planet, visited memorable places on the territory of the Star City and visited Red Square.

The cosmonaut corps was represented by Alexander Misurkin, Nikolai Chub, Andrey Babkin. Together with the leaders of the CPC, they laid flowers at the monument to Yuri Gagarin, located opposite the house where he spent the last years of his life with his wife Valentina and daughters. Bouquets can be seen today at the memorial plaque on the facade of the high-rise building. People who personally knew Yuri Alekseevich and his family still live in Zvezdny Gorodok. For the entire town, as well as for the Cosmonaut Training Center, March 9 is a special day.

As part of the events dedicated to the 87th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin, representatives of the Cosmonaut Training Center visited the Kremlin wall in Moscow, where the cosmonaut’s ashes are buried, and laid flowers. In the homeland of Yuri Alekseevich, in the Smolensk region today, numerous events are held in honor of his birthday, in which CTC employees and cosmonauts traditionally take part.
