Girl was locked in a hotel and, out of boredom, sewed a dress from packages

A resident of the Australian city of Perth was locked in a hotel due to the self-isolation regime introduced in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, and out of boredom sewed a dress from packages. A related story appeared on the Daily Mail.

According to 25-year-old Marnee Halleen, she returned home from Canada to Australia and went to a mandatory two-week quarantine at a local hotel in Sydney. It is noted that during her stay at the hotel, the girl has accumulated many packages of food, which she ordered in the room.

The Australian woman explained that she felt sorry for throwing away so much paper, and she decided to make a dress out of it. Hallin mentioned that she never sewed clothes and couldn’t draw. “I just have a good imagination. My loved ones were skeptical about my idea, but when they first saw my outfit during a video call, they were shocked and said they would like to wear it,” the heroine of the material underlined.

According to the publication, the corset of the dress is made of 43 paper roses, dyed beige with coffee. For the skirt, the heroine cut out rectangles from the bags and crumpled them to give a volumetric texture. Hallin is known to have fastened all parts with a glue gun and duct tape.

Earlier in March, the girl created clothes from candy wrappers and became famous on the net. It is known that in her work, a girl named Putri uses various packaging from food, making clothes, shoes and accessories from them. The heroine sews all the outfits with her own hands.
