Everything indicates that the construction of Nord Stream 2 will inevitably be completed, but questions remain regarding the start of operation of the gas pipeline. This was acknowledged by the representative of the Polish government for strategic energy infrastructure Piotr Naimsky on the air of Polish radio.
He added that Poland has always opposed the project, because it contradicts the security of Europe. According to Naimsogo, Nord Stream 2 is being used as a political instrument.
Earlier it became known that the construction of the second line of the gas pipeline in the exclusive economic zone of Denmark will begin in March. At the same time, the United States intends to continue to interfere with the construction of Nord Stream-2, said the head of the State Department’s press service, Ned Price.
The administration of US President Joe Biden has not yet extended sanctions on the gas pipeline, which has caused outrage from congressmen. As of early March, the project is 98 percent complete and has an estimated cost of $ 11 billion.
