In February, the state tests of the Lebedev modular pistol, carried out within the framework of the Lynx project, were completed in Russia, Kalashnikov reports.
According to the concern, the development of a pistol chambered for 9 by 19 millimeters with advanced tactical capabilities was commissioned by the Russian Guard.
“And although the pistol was developed according to the tactical and technical specifications of the Rosgvardia and is primarily focused on the technical requirements of this department, we hope that this pistol could potentially be of interest to other departments as well,” said Dmitry Tarasov, CEO of the group.
The press release, in particular, notes that the Lynx pistol is equipped with a “device for reducing the sound of firing (PSZS), an additional barrel with a seat for installing PSZS and elements for placing weapons on a soldier’s equipment.” >
In October 2020, Kalashnikov showed a video of the Lebedev compact pistol, which will replace the Makarov pistol.
