France is again interested in Russian Sputnik V vaccine

The French authorities are again interested in the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. Jean-Luc Melanchon, the leader of the French leftist movement “Unruly France”, said this on the air of France 3 TV channel.

According to him, earlier, the country’s authorities refused the opportunity to use Sputnik V vaccines, arguing that they do not want to “deal with Russia” in this case. “From the very beginning, the French leadership adhered to a completely stupid position regarding a number of vaccines,” the politician admitted.

He also stressed that the national origin of the vaccine does not matter. “The wider the range of vaccines available, the more confidence people will have that scientists have really succeeded in this area,” Melanchon added.

In his opinion, it is necessary to abandon the ideological approach to health problems.

Earlier, the head of WHO praised Russia’s investment in science after the Sputnik V vaccine. This became known after a conversation between Tedros Adanom Ghebreyesus and the Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko about the response to COVID-19 on a global scale and in Russia.
