LDPR deputies will submit a bill to the State Duma, which is proposed to remove the restriction on the recalculation of pensions for working pensioners. This was stated by one of the authors of the project, the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy Yaroslav Nilov in his Telegram channel.
As the authors of the initiative recalled, on January 1, 2015, the law “On Insurance Pensions” came into force. According to him, recalculation of the insurance pension and the share of the insurance old-age pension gives an increase in the amount of the insurance pension by a maximum of three points per year. At the same time, for pensioners who form pension savings – by 1,875 points per year.
“The rate of insurance premiums paid by employers for working insured persons is the same for both working pensioners and insured persons who are not retirees,” the explanatory note says.
The politician said that in this way the current legislation contains a mechanism for double limiting the amount of insurance pension. The bill proposes to recalculate the insurance pension and the share of the old-age insurance pension, taking into account the maximum value of the individual pension coefficient.
Earlier, the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko called the approximate time for returning to indexation of pensions for working pensioners. The government is expected to find money for the initiative in the next budget cycle. She said that, in general, the government and parliament have no objections to this initiative.
Pensions for working pensioners were no longer indexed back in 2016 in order to reduce the deficit of the Pension Fund. In late 2020 – early 2021, the issue returned to the social agenda in Russia. The draft law on indexation was submitted to the State Duma by deputies from “Fair Russia”.
