Billionaire to arrange a casting for a joint flight to moon

Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, who will go to the moon in 2023 as the first ever tourist, decided to arrange a casting and recruit a team of eight for the trip. The entrepreneur wrote about this in his Twitter .

“I am recruiting a team to participate in this mission. I need eight people from all over the world. 10-12 people will take part in this trip, I, for my part, invite eight,” he said in a video message.

There are only two criteria by which Maezawa will select companions. Participants will need to share their activities and describe how going to the moon will help them bring more value to society. In addition, potential candidates need to be willing to work as part of a team and to support other team members.

Previously, the billionaire wanted to launch a TV show, the winner of which was supposed to travel around the moon with Maezawa. More than 27 thousand women applied for the casting, but the entrepreneur changed his mind about looking for a beloved and turned off the show.

44-year-old Maezawa is a fashion designer and founder of the online clothing store Zozo, in September 2019 he left the post of CEO of the company. His current fortune, according to Forbes, is about two billion dollars. It is expected to be the first space tourist to orbit the moon. The flight is organized by SpaceX Elon Musk.
