Compal has created a concept laptop with multiple screens. This is reported by HotHardware.
Company officials describe Airttach as the world’s first laptop with an expandable display. The device comes with two removable panels that can be fixed on either side of the main display using special brackets. When fully expanded, Airttach has three 13-inch screens with a total aspect ratio of 48: 9.
Also removable consoles can be used separately. For example, the manufacturer allows the placement of auxiliary screens on stands on the desktop. Compal’s invented laptop has the dimensions of a classic laptop, so it can be transported in one bag. “Mobility is not a reason to sacrifice screen space,” noted the creators of the concept device.
At the moment Airttach is in the prototype stage, the company intends to complete development within 12 months. According to representatives of the company, the laptop with an expandable screen is aimed at users who need to keep in mind a lot of information at the same time – content creators, stock traders, government officials.
Expanscape previously released a seven-screen computer. The Aurora 7 has four 17.3 “4K displays and three additional 7” displays. The computer weighs about 12 kilograms.
