MTS esports team became world champion Intel Extreme Masters 2021

The MTS esports team – Gambit Esports won the Intel Extreme Masters 2021 CS: GO World Championship, and the sniper of the roster Dmitry “sh1r0” Sokolov was recognized as the best player of the tournament, according to the operator’s press service.

During the competition, Gambit Esports players beat the reigning champions from Natus Vincere, the team fought Virtus.pro in the grand final, the match ended with a score of 3: 1. The Gambit Esports team became the youngest in the competition – the average age of the players was only 21 years. Dmitry Sokolov, who received the title of best player, is 19 years old, this is the first individual world-class award in the career of a Russian esports player.

Intel Extreme Masters is one of the oldest and most prestigious Counter-Strike tournaments, with nineteen of the top twenty teams in the world taking part this year.
