President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko gave advice on the development of the nation. In his opinion, Belarusians can rally and develop successfully only on positive ideas and deeds, BelTA informs.
He drew attention to the fact that the traditional ceremony of presenting state awards and general’s shoulder straps has a special meaning in the Year of National Unity.
“No matter how pretentious it may sound, for me you represent the vanguard of the army of good, creation, creative people and, most importantly, aimed at results (…). Each of you works for the Fatherland and the people. With your work you do our country is stronger and more beautiful, “Lukashenko stressed.
According to him, over the years of independence, a society has formed in Belarus, which is well aware that the foundation of the unity of the people and its successful future is persistent creative work, solidarity and mutual assistance. “It shouldn’t be otherwise. After all, we live in our native land, we are one people, we love our country and we will do everything so that children and grandchildren live in peace and harmony,” he said during the ceremony.
On February 19, Lukashenko explained that nationalism is not chatter on “mov”, but a desire to do something that will remain in the people’s memory. “I always strive to ensure that we have certain traditions,” said the President of Belarus.
Earlier, Lukashenka answered a question about the slogans of the opposition, whose representatives equate the current government with a fascist one. “As for fascism, you cannot stick it to me. Because I am an international person. You see my policy. I have always been proud that we do not have a fight, contradictions between different nationalities,” he said.
In July, the president noted that the Belarusians are independently building an independent, modern and unique country in the international arena. Lukashenko added that the centuries-old history of Belarus predetermined the proximity of Belarusians to the fraternal peoples, foreign economic and foreign policy multi-vector.
Prior to that, he said that the Belarusians had been going for more than a thousand years to their independence: “Almost at all times, starting from ancient times, this was the path of struggle. Fighting the harsh climate for the harvest, with the invaders for the land, with the oppressors for freedom , with the interventionists for their faith, culture and traditions.
