SME Corporation provided a guarantee in the amount of 164.1 million rubles as security for a loan to Ecoprom in the amount of 328 million rubles in SME Bank for the construction of a modern environmentally friendly landfill for the disposal of solid municipal and industrial waste of III-V hazard classes in Kemerovo area. Financing was provided within the framework of the Ministry of Economic Development Subsidization Program. The total cost of construction of the first stage of the project is estimated at 570.6 million rubles. This was reported to “Lente.ru” in the press service of the corporation.
The Ecoprom landfill is located on a land plot with an area of 438.1 thousand square meters in the village of Prigorodny, Yasnogorsk rural settlement, Kemerovo region. Partially commissioned in 2020.
“The new landfill for waste processing comprehensively solves with the help of modern technologies the issues of solid waste disposal for the cities of Kemerovo and Berezovsky, as well as Kemerovo and Topkinsky municipal districts. At the same time, a number of old landfills that do not meet modern eco-standards will be closed in the region, and reclaimed Financial support will allow to complete the construction of the first stage of the project in full and start creating a waste recycling complex within the second stage of the project, “said Romualdas Januškevičius, General Director of Ecoprom.

The production capacity of the landfill will be up to 310 thousand tons per year. Over the years of operation, the volume of waste disposed of at the landfill will amount to over 2.2 million tons, including solid municipal waste – 66 percent (MSW), industrial waste (WTP) – 34 percent.
