The general director of the company “CosmoCourse” Pavel Pushkin named the reason for stopping the construction in the Nizhny Novgorod region of the first private cosmodrome in Russia and a reusable suborbital complex for space tourism. His words are reported by RIA Novosti.
As Pushkin said, a year ago the company agreed with the regional authorities to agree primarily on the sanitary protection zones of the cosmodrome. The corresponding project was sent to the regional institute of Rospotrebnadzor, then to the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA), and then to the federal Rospotrebnadzor. However, no response has yet been received, the CEO noted.
“The suborbital project has been suspended, nothing is being coordinated at the cosmodrome. Everyone is nodding at each other. We have worked a lot on technology, but in such conditions we have stopped work,” explained Pushkin.
