Belarusian specialists can carry out combat duty together with their Russian colleagues on military aircraft. This was stated by the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko, reports “Sputnik Belarus”.
Lukashenko spoke about joint combat duty at a meeting on cooperation with Moscow in the military sphere. “Give us these planes. But on these planes, as then, the Russians and Belarusians should fly together,” he said.
The head of state believes that the deployment of Russian military aircraft at already existing bases in Belarus will significantly save money. In addition, Lukashenko stressed, the two countries already have experience of joint air patrolling, this practice was used during the Ice Hockey Championship in Minsk in 2014.
