A literary parlor “Word and Space” dedicated to Boris Pasternak was held

On Friday, February 26, 2021, the third literary lounge of the online series “Word and Space” with a direct connection to the International Space Station took place. The topic of the meeting was dedicated to Boris Pasternak. Guests of the online meeting were able to join in the discovery of the secrets of the artistic world of poems, which largely determined the development of the literary process of the 20th century.

The Hero of Russia, Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergei Ryzhikov has traditionally become a participant in the literary dialogue. During an online connection, he spoke about his attitude to the late lyrics of Boris Pasternak and presented the February portrait of our planet in photographs taken from the International Station.

The event was also attended by a French Slavic philologist who personally knew Boris Pasternak – Georges Niva, literary critic Elmira Afanasyeva and researcher of Russian literature of the 20th century Alexander Pashkov, Doctor of Philology. Sci., literary critic, author of books and films about Boris Pasternak – Natalia Ivanova.
