The version of Windows 10 released in May was named the most popular operating system. This is reported in the February report of the AdDuplex platform.
The company aggregates data from five thousand applications from the Microsoft Store. The programs are installed on about 80 thousand computers. According to information collected from these computers, the most popular version of the current OS from Microsoft remains the Windows 10 May 2020 Update or Windows 10 (2004).
The major May update is used by about 41.8 percent of all Windows PC owners. In second place with a share of 28.8 percent is the Windows 10 N19U or Windows 10 update (1909). The top 3 with a 20 percent share also includes the Windows 10 October 2020 Update or Windows 20H2. This update was released in October 2020 and is the most current as of February 2020.
Analysts noted that the shares of old Windows 10 updates are gradually decreasing. For example, experts found that only 5.8 percent of Microsoft consumers use the Windows 10 (1903) update released in May 2019.
