Rosneft Chief Executive Officer Igor Sechin and Acting Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Mikhail Degtyarev during a working meeting discussed bilateral cooperation and fuel supply for the Khabarovsk Territory. The parties also noted the significant contribution of Rosneft to the socio-economic development of the region, the oil company said in a statement.
Rosneft is one of the largest taxpayers, employers and investors in the Khabarovsk Territory. The Komsomolsk Oil Refinery and the RN-Vostoknefteprodukt retail chain operate in the region.
The Komsomolsk Refinery accounts for 60 percent of the oil refining industry in the Far East. Rosneft is implementing a large-scale plant modernization program. At the same time, the Komsomolsk Refinery already produces motor fuels of the highest ecological class – “Euro 5”, as well as highly environmentally friendly marine fuel.
Rosneft is currently planning the reconstruction and modernization of the existing network of filling stations in the Khabarovsk Territory, including to increase the throughput of filling stations. This will contribute to the development of the Company’s retail business and increase competition in the regional fuel supply market.
Igor Sechin noted that Rosneft is one of the main suppliers of oil products in the Khabarovsk Territory, ensuring uninterrupted supplies to consumers. “We work absolutely transparently, we use the exchange pricing mechanism. All market participants have the opportunity to freely purchase the Company’s motor fuels at the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange. In January and February 2021, the Komsomolsk Refinery exceeded the standard for gasoline supplies to the exchange by 4 times.” , – said the head of Rosneft.
