Former US President Donald Trump has announced his reluctance to create a new party. RIA Novosti reports.
“We have the Republican Party,” he said during a speech at the Political Conservatives Conference (CPAC). Also, the ex-head of the White House expressed confidence that the Republicans will demonstrate unprecedented unity in the next elections, and the Democrats will “decisively lose”.
Trump also did not rule out that he would nominate himself in the next presidential elections. He stated that he won the 2020 elections and added that “who knows? I might even decide to beat them a third time,” he suggested.
Earlier, the US Republican Senator Mitt Romney assessed the chances of Trump’s nomination for the presidency in 2024. According to him, if Trump makes such a decision, the Republican Party will support his candidacy. Romney indicated that he himself will not vote for Trump, just like he did not vote last time.
