Fighting poverty is “the absolute priority of the country’s leadership,” and failures are attributed to “various factors” that hinder work. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the country, Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, reports “Interfax”.
According to him, the theme of fighting poverty figures in all national development plans, without it, not a single message of the President to the Federal Assembly passes.
Peskov stressed that the work will continue in the most serious way, “no one is going to give up.” In the forthcoming message, the head of state is also likely to talk about poverty. At the same time, Putin’s spokesman noted that it is about the fight against poverty, not poverty.
The date of the upcoming appeal has not yet been determined. Commenting on rumors that it will take place next week, Peskov indicated that the public will be informed in advance. Prior to that, he said that Putin would touch upon the topics of the country’s socio-economic, technological and other development.
Previously, Peskov explained the low pensions in the country as “black stripes” in development, which regularly prevent the government from increasing the welfare of pensioners. Peskov clarified that he means the regular world economic crises, in which Russia is not to blame, and the coronavirus pandemic.
