The most important issue discussed during the STC was the organization of production of promising rocket and space technology, first of all, carrier rockets of the “Angara” family, which is currently being implemented at the Omsk association “Polet”. The recent launch of a heavy-class rocket “Angara-A5” from the Plesetsk cosmodrome on December 14, 2020, showed that the modernized production base of Omsk “Flight” is already sufficiently prepared for the high-quality manufacture of rocket and space technology.

In addition, within the framework of an agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Omsk region and the State Research and Production Space Center im. M.V. Khrunichev on the basis of OmSTU also created the Center for the training of engineering personnel The regional government fully supports the space direction of the Scientific, Educational and Engineering Centers and the activities of the Roscosmos State Corporation under the Angara project.
