Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, during a meeting with representatives of the subjects, spoke about new measures to support business from the most affected industries. According to Mishustin, President Vladimir Putin has approved a new preferential loan program “FOT 3.0” to support business, according to the government’s website.
“Today, at a meeting with you, representatives of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, I want to inform you about an important decision – about new measures to support businesses from the most affected sectors, which previously used the FOT 2.0 program,” Mishustin said.
The prime minister noted the importance of the preferential credit program of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia “FOT 2.0”, which gave businesses from the affected industries an incentive to preserve jobs. According to Mishustin, this has become one of the most successful measures to support small and medium-sized entrepreneurs.
“The program is coming to an end. However, a number of industries have not yet recovered to pre-crisis levels. This is the sphere of public catering, culture, sports, entertainment, organization of events, tourism and a number of others. All of them still need government assistance in this a difficult time, “the prime minister stressed.
The government has decided to launch a new program – “FOT 3.0”, its launch was approved by President Vladimir Putin after Mishustin’s report, the prime minister said. He noted that the conditions will be slightly changed in it. “Now the rate of soft loans will not be 2 percent, but 3 percent. This is a slight increase, given that the economy is gradually recovering. Companies will have opportunities for growth. And during the first half of the year, the business under this new program will not pay the main debt and interest on the loan. . Only in the second half of the year it will be possible to do it in equal monthly installments “, – said the head of the Cabinet.
Mishustin stressed that now the program will be admitted from micro and small to large enterprises from the least recovered industries, “which today have not yet fully returned to the pre-crisis level.
“We expect that about 75 thousand entrepreneurs, whose companies employ about one and a half million people, can potentially benefit from this assistance,” the prime minister said, noting that the government hopes during this time the main stage of vaccination against coronavirus, the demand for the services of these industries will grow and they can start a quick recovery.
