Dr.Amanda Cohn of the US National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases named three signs that a coronavirus vaccine given to a patient is working. Her words are quoted by the BGR portal.
According to her, the effectiveness of the drug is indicated by pain at the injection site, fatigue, as well as fever with a subfebrile temperature in the range of 37.1-38 degrees Celsius.
According to the doctor, all these signs indicate that the vaccine is doing its job of strengthening the body’s defenses to fight the virus. Cohn stressed that side effects usually last for several days and should not be a cause for concern.
The specialist explained that in this way the body forms an immune response to a protein that “mimics the disease”.
Earlier, the director of the Gamaleya Center, Alexander Gunzburg, listed ways to increase the effectiveness of the coronavirus vaccine. According to him, after being vaccinated for two days, it is not recommended to overload the body with physical activity. This will create a better immune response.
