Brent oil prices again broke the record in January last year and exceeded $ 66. This is evidenced by data from the London stock exchange ICE.
As of 05:00 Moscow time, the price of the April futures in the course of trading reached $ 66.3 per barrel
On February 15, the price of the April futures for Brent crude oil exceeded $ 63 per barrel for the first time since January 2020, and on February 18, it rose above $ 65 per barrel, again exceeding the indicator.
The rise in oil prices is due to the position of the participants in the OPEC + deal, which at the end of the year agreed to toughen the terms of the agreement to limit production. Additional obligations were assumed by Saudi Arabia, which voluntarily reduced production by a million barrels per day. The next meeting of the association is to take place in March.
