Serial deliveries of main battle tanks T-14 “Armata” for the Russian Ministry of Defense will begin in 2022. This is reported by TASS with reference to the General Director and Chief Designer of the Ural Design Bureau of Transport Engineering Andrey Terlikov.
According to him, contracts for the supply of the latest tanks for the needs of the army have already been signed, although their state tests are still pending. By the end of this year, the armed forces will receive an installation batch of vehicles. “From 2022 we will enter stable serial deliveries,” Terlikov said.
He noted that the “Armata” entering the army will be equipped with the latest ammunition. The specialists of Rosatom are now engaged in their development. “Armata was created in order to ensure superiority over the best analogs. We keep the bar at the required height,” the CEO stressed.
