Tiina Jauhiainen, a friend of Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Ibn Rashid Al Maktoum, the disappeared daughter of the ruler of Dubai, Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Ibn Rashid Al Maktoum, turned to Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain with a request to intervene in the situation. The Daily Mail reports.
In an open letter, Tiina Jauhiainen asks the queen to use “any influence” she has against the sheikh accused of capturing her daughter to satisfy Latifa and her older sister Shamsa’s desire for freedom, or at least provide proof that they are alive.
“Your country prides itself on respecting human rights and requires people, no matter how rich and powerful they are, to take responsibility for their actions. Considering that you value justice, freedom and family so much and enjoy universal respect, I sincerely I believe that your intervention can help put an end to the ordeal of these two women, “Tiina addresses the British Queen in her message.
Tiina Jauhiainen has been friends with Latifa since 2010, when she was hired by the family of the ruler of Dubai as a martial arts instructor. In 2018, she helped her escape, but as a result of a joint raid by the secret services of India and the UAE, security forces returned the princess to Dubai.
In mid-February, the daughter of the ruler of Dubai, in a secret video filmed, said that Sheikh Mohammed detained her two years ago and has been keeping her locked up ever since. The family of the ruler of Dubai, in response to media publications, said that the girl is at home, she is looked after by family members and qualified medical personnel, her condition is gradually improving, and the family hopes that she will soon appear in public.
Sheikh Latifa was last seen in public in 2018 – on a yacht off the coast of India, while trying to escape. After that, in December 2018, she was visited by the UN Commissioner for Human Rights, former President of Ireland, Mary Robinson. Robinson concluded that the princess was not in danger, but then explained that Latifa’s relatives had convinced her that she was suffering from bipolar disorder and was dangerous to herself.
The Dubai ruler has already returned home his fugitive daughter: his eldest daughter by another wife of Sheikh Shams was kidnapped in London after fleeing and forcibly returned to the UAE.
