Investigators have named the reason for the detention of the heads of PJSC “Territorial Generating Company No. 2” (TGC-2) and JSC “Arkhoblenergo”. The heads of the companies are suspected of creating a threat to the energy security of the Arkhangelsk region. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
The investigation believes that persons from the management of the companies have created a threat to the energy security of the region and have destabilized the work of Arkhoblenergo JSC as a result of abuse of power. The company suffered damage in the amount of at least 350 million rubles. The organization received a negative financial result in the form of a net loss of more than 290 million rubles, the accounts payable of Arkhoblenergo was artificially increased to more than a billion rubles. “At the same time, a debt to the budget for taxes and insurance premiums in the amount of more than 140 million rubles was formed,” the investigators said.
The Investigative Committee believes that the detainees for personal mercenary purposes bankrupted Arkhoblenergo JSC. This gave them the opportunity to establish a monopoly on the region’s fuel and energy market. Criminal cases were opened against them on abuse of office, as well as concealment of funds, at the expense of which taxes and fees were to be collected. Investigators are going to seek the arrest of the suspects.
Earlier it was reported that the head of TGC-2 Nadezhda Pinigina, after being detained in Moscow, was transferred to Arkhangelsk. It was previously known that she was suspected of economic crimes.
