13 former employees demanded to recognize their dismissal as illegal, compensate for forced absenteeism and moral damage. The claim was denied. At the same time, the court ordered Grodno Azot to cite the wording of the reasons for the dismissal of four people.
An independent trade union representative promised to appeal the decision.
The plaintiffs at different times, they wrote an application to join the strike. 11 of them were fired for absenteeism, two for violation of labor discipline and damage to the enterprise.
Some employees of “Grodno Azot” were summoned to the Investigative Committee as witnesses in the criminal case under the article “Forcing to strike or to refuse to participate in it.
Mass protests against the official results of the presidential elections have continued in Belarus since August 9, according to which Alexander Lukashenko, who ran for a sixth term, won 80 percent of the vote. The actions were supported by employees of a number of large enterprises.
