The Central Bank of Russia recorded the minimum volume of money transfers in four years. This is reported by RBC with reference to the statistics of the regulator.
According to the Central Bank, in 2020 the volume of funds transferred from Russia decreased compared to the previous period and amounted to $ 7.4 billion. Of this, $ 6.2 billion falls on transfers to the CIS countries. It is noted that we are talking about transfers through Western Union, Zolotaya Korona, Unistream, Contact, Blizko (until April 2020), as well as Russian Post.
At the same time, in 2019, the total amount of transfers was slightly higher and amounted to $ 7.5 billion. In 2018, individuals transferred 9.5 billion dollars from Russia to other countries, in 2017 – 9.2 billion, in 2016 – 7.3 billion.
