Bill Gates admits third dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Microsoft founder Bill Gates said that in connection with the emergence of new strains of coronavirus infection, a third dose of the vaccine may be needed. He said this in an interview with CBS News.

“There is a discussion now whether we just need to achieve very high coverage with the current vaccine, or we need the exact same third dose, or we need a modified vaccine,” he said.

Gates admitted that an improved vaccine will appear in the world by the time new strains of coronavirus reach the United States.

Earlier, the billionaire admitted that he had come across conspiracy theories around vaccines and before COVID-19, and lamented that mistrust of vaccines could slow down the fight against the pandemic. Bill Gates himself was vaccinated on January 22nd.
