Moscow and Minsk signed an agreement on the transshipment of Belarusian oil products at Russian ports in 2021-2023, TASS reports. The agreement will be valid until December 31, 2023 with the possibility of automatic renewal.
“The agreement is being signed for three years, but it has practically unlimited validity, because it provides for automatic prolongation,” Russian Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev commented. He added that Russian ports are currently ready to transship Belarusian oil products in the amount of 9.8 million tons, Interfax specifies.
The agreement provides for the transshipment of fuel oil, gasoline and oils in Russian ports in the Baltic by Belarusian enterprises. Russia and Belarus have agreed to transship more than 3.5 million tons of Belarusian oil products this year, they are intended for export to third countries.
