The head of the main department of the Tax Committee of Tajikistan, Shamsullo Kabirzoda, announced the imminent appearance of a tax on video blogging in the country, writes “Sputnik Tajikistan”.
According to him, now in Tajikistan there are 29 pages and channels of bloggers with an audience of 3 to 19 million subscribers. They will need to register with the tax authorities before April 1, otherwise problems with the law may follow.
Kabirzoda did not name the exact tax rate for bloggers, but he assured that the state has full rights to the share of citizens’ income from online activities. “There is no misunderstanding when it comes to taxing bloggers,” the official said.
Earlier, the citizens of Tajikistan received a legal opportunity to pay off the army. According to the new amendments to the law, a conscript will be able to receive a military ID after completing a monthly paid course as a reservist. The cost of the new service has not yet been disclosed.
