In Russia, gasoline prices from producers soared by 8.5 percent in January 2021 compared to December levels, the Federal State Statistics Service calculated. RIA Novosti reports.
According to the statistics department, in January prices for certain types of oil products increased in the country. Thus, oil construction bitumen rose in price by 31.8 percent, oil roofing bitumen added 19.4 percent, heating oil increased in price by 13.2 percent, petroleum paraffins – by 12.6 percent, coke and semi-coke from coal – by 10 percent, services for the production of petroleum products – by 8.9 percent.
During the same period in the extraction of minerals, oil prices for supplies to the domestic market increased by 14 percent, while prices for liquefied natural gas and gas condensate – by 22.5 percent and 16.5 percent, respectively.
In early February 2021, it became known that consumer prices for gasoline in the previous month increased by 0.95 percent compared to December. By January 2020, they had skyrocketed 3.26 percent. Gasoline production in Russia in January decreased both by December 2020 and year-on-year. In the first case, it fell by 2.9 percent, in the second – by 6.6 percent.
