A US police officer made a Valentine’s card with a photo of George Floyd, who died as a result of a brutal detention by officers, and a strangulation joke on February 14. The Los Angeles Department has already begun an investigation, according to Twitter .
The situation became known after a complaint from an employee who wrote about it in the internal mailing list. It is alleged that the officer who came under investigation decided to make a joke and made a valentine card with a photo of George Floyd and the caption “It takes your breath away.” The title and affiliation of the employee to the department have not yet been established.
The Los Angeles Police Department called this behavior unacceptable. The heads of the divisions were instructed to study the workplaces of the officers.
