Trump’s worries about impeachment revealed

Former US President Donald Trump has been worried about the impeachment process and its outcome over the past two weeks. This is reported by CNN with reference to its sources.

Trump has been very quiet since leaving the White House at the end of last month, according to the American publication. Many associated his silence and quiet behavior with the experience of impeachment. A close Trump aide also confirmed that the former president has expressed concern about the process in private conversations.

Earlier, Trump called the failed impeachment process one of the stages of the “greatest witch hunt” in the history of the country. The American leader noted that no US president had ever had to go through something like this.

On February 13, the US Senate acquitted the former president through impeachment. 57 senators voted for impeachment, 43 voted against. 67 votes out of 100 were required to issue an indictment. Thus, the initiative did not receive the required number of votes.

The second impeachment trial against Trump began in the Senate on February 9. On January 14, the House of Representatives voted to impeach the former owner of the White House in connection with the riots in Washington. This is the first time the US has attempted to remove a state leader from office after the end of his presidential term.
