Earthquake in Japan turned out to be an aftershock of 2011

The earthquake that happened in Japan turned out to be an aftershock in 2011, said the representative of the National Meteorological Office of Japan, writes TASS.

At least 20 people were injured in the incident in the north-east of the country.

Local authorities are collecting information about the victims and possible destruction. The Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country Katsunobu Kato at an emergency press conference announced that the previously announced tsunami warning had been lifted.
