Long-term head of Pension Fund found a new job

The long-term head of the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) Anton Drozdov has found a new job, writes RBC. The official got a job at Promsvyazbank, which acts as a backbone bank for the military-industrial complex.

“Drozdov goes to work at Promsvyazbank, he is deeply immersed in the issues of treasury support of transactions, which are critical for a bank specializing in loans for the defense industry,” an acquaintance of Drozdov told the publication.

The press service of the credit institution added that the former head of the FIU will work as an advisor.

Drozdov headed the Pension Fund from 2008 to 2020 and left it after the appointment of Mikhail Mishustin as Prime Minister. After that, he worked in the Ministry of Finance, from where he left due to the reduction of his position.

On February 11, it became known that Drozdov’s replacement, former Labor Minister Maxim Topilin, was leaving the RPF. According to Mishustin’s order, Andrei Kigim, the former head of the Social Insurance Fund, has been appointed to replace him.
